What exactly is Outlast? Outlast ® is a thermal material that was originally developed for space travel. It consists of microscopically small balls which are filled with a type of special wax. As temperatures rise, the physical state of the wax in the covering changes, thereby removing heat energy from the environment and thus slowing down the temperature rise within the rubber boot. As temperatures drop, the special wax solidifies again and returns to its original state. The stored energy is released back into the body. This ensures a balanced temperature. Outlast ® is a unique material that is able to regulate the temperature in the boot or shoe. Outlast works in harmony with the body and the outside world. This ability of Outlast® increases the comfort of rubber boots and reduces sweating.
