Outlast
Outlast lining is a Hi-Tec material that is partly used for the lining of rubber boots. Originally developed for space travel, Outlast has the ability to adapt to changing temperatures. Microscopically, it is made of small spheres filled with special material (wax-like). When the temperature changes in the rubber boot, the aggregate state of the wax-like filled beads changes. As the temperature rises, it extracts heat energy from the inside of the boot and slows down the rise in temperature. When the temperature in the rubber boot drops, the beads solidify again and release the heat to the foot. A pleasant, balanced climate thus prevails in the Outlast lined rubber boot. Outlast ® works in harmony with the body and the outside world.
An Outlast lining supports the comfort of the handmade rubber boots in a wide range of temperatures in all seasons and reduces sweating by more than 40%.
